Job Description

A prestigious UK law firm is seeking a highly experienced Non-Contentious Construction Partner to join its established and growing Construction team. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a senior lawyer to lead and develop the non-contentious construction practice, advising a diverse client base including developers, contractors, consultants, and financiers on all aspects of construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
— Leading the non-contentious construction practice, managing key client relationships and business development initiatives
— Advising clients on construction contracts, project management agreements, procurement, and supply chain arrangements
— Providing strategic legal advice on project risk allocation, contractual frameworks (JCT, NEC, FIDIC), and dispute avoidance
— Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex construction and engineering contracts
— Collaborating with contentious construction teams to provide integrated client advice
— Mentoring and managing junior and mid-level lawyers within the team
— Representing the firm at industry events and contributing to thought leadership and market positioning

Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with significant PQE (typically 8+ years) in non-contentious construction law
— Proven track record of advising on major UK and international construction and infrastructure projects
— Deep knowledge of standard construction forms (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and industry best practices
— Strong commercial awareness and excellent client relationship skills
— Demonstrated experience in business development and team leadership
— Confident, proactive, and collaborative approach
