Job Description
A reputable UK law firm is seeking a motivated and skilled Contentious Construction Associate to join its busy and growing Construction Disputes team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise advising clients on complex construction disputes and litigation, working alongside highly experienced partners and counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
— Handling construction-related disputes, including adjudications, arbitrations, mediations, and court proceedings
— Drafting pleadings, witness statements, legal submissions, and settlement agreements
— Advising clients including contractors, subcontractors, developers, and insurers on dispute resolution strategies
— Managing case files, coordinating with experts, and supporting advocacy in hearings and tribunals
— Conducting legal research and providing clear, commercially focused advice
— Collaborating closely with senior lawyers and clients to deliver high-quality service
Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 3–6 years PQE in contentious construction or construction disputes
— Experience in adjudications, arbitration, or litigation within the construction sector
— Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
— Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail
— Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines efficiently
— Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
