Job Description

An elite international law firm is seeking a visionary and commercially driven Senior Partner to lead its Energy Group. This is a rare opportunity to take on a strategic leadership role in a well-established, high-performing practice advising global clients on major energy and infrastructure matters across oil & gas, renewables, power, and energy transition projects.

Key Responsibilities:
— Leading the Energy Group and setting the strategic direction for the practice across all key energy sectors
— Acting as the primary client contact on complex, high-value transactions, regulatory matters, and project development issues
— Advising clients on energy infrastructure projects (including upstream/downstream oil & gas, renewables, hydrogen, power purchase agreements, and carbon markets)
— Building and managing a strong pipeline of work through active business development and leveraging firmwide cross-practice collaboration
— Driving team performance, mentoring partners and associates, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture
— Representing the firm at industry events, public forums, and thought leadership platforms
— Contributing to global firm initiatives related to ESG, energy transition, and sustainability

Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent) with 15+ years PQE and a strong leadership profile in the energy sector
— Established partner with proven success in private practice or in-house, ideally with international experience
— Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage global energy clients
— Strong industry network and track record in originating and leading on major transactions or regulatory mandates
— Deep understanding of commercial drivers, geopolitical risks, and global energy market trends
— Committed to the firm’s values, client service excellence, and long-term practice growth
