Commercial Litigation Senior Associate

A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Commercial Litigation team. This is a key role for a senior litigator to take the lead on complex, high-value disputes, while mentoring junior team members and supporting strategic growth within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
— Leading on a wide range of complex commercial disputes, including contractual claims, shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence, and fraud
— Managing proceedings in the High Court, Court of Appeal, and international arbitration forums
— Drafting pleadings, witness statements, expert instructions, and strategic advice
— Advising clients on litigation risk, settlement strategy, and dispute resolution options
— Supervising and mentoring junior associates and trainees
— Playing an active role in client relationship management and business development
— Supporting partners in the strategic direction and expansion of the litigation team

Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 6–9 years PQE in commercial litigation
— Strong track record of managing complex disputes independently
— Exceptional drafting and advocacy skills, with sound commercial judgment
— Experience advising clients across sectors such as finance, tech, real estate, or energy
— Strong leadership qualities and experience mentoring junior lawyers
— Client-focused, with a proactive and strategic approach to litigation
