Residential Conveyancing Solicitor – Lending Specialist
Job Description
A respected and well-established UK law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor with specific expertise in lender panel work and secured lending transactions. This is a key role within the firm’s busy Residential Property team, ideal for a solicitor who can manage a high-quality caseload and maintain strong relationships with banks, building societies, and specialist lenders.
Key Responsibilities:
— Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters including freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity
— Acting on behalf of institutional and private lenders, ensuring all lending requirements and conditions are met
— Advising clients and lenders on title, charges, and mortgage-related issues
— Preparing and reviewing loan documentation, COTs (Certificates of Title), and security documents
— Liaising with borrowers, lenders, mortgage brokers, and surveyors to progress transactions smoothly
— Ensuring full compliance with lender panel protocols, CML Handbook, and anti-money laundering requirements
— Maintaining accurate records and providing a high level of client service
Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3–6 years PQE in residential conveyancing
— Proven experience acting for lenders or handling a high volume of refinance/re-mortgage matters
— Familiarity with CML Handbook, lender panel expectations, and secured lending frameworks
— Strong communication and drafting skills
— Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
— Experience with conveyancing case management systems
— A proactive, collaborative, and client-focused approach
