Legal Cashier
Job Description
A reputable law firm is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join its finance team. The successful candidate will manage financial transactions, ensure compliance with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, and support the smooth operation of the firm’s accounts department.
Key Responsibilities:
— Managing all financial transactions including client account payments, ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
— Processing supplier invoices, payroll, and expenses accurately and promptly
— Ensuring compliance with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and internal financial procedures
— Preparing financial reports and assisting with audits and regulatory filings
— Liaising with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies as required
— Supporting the finance team with general administrative and accounting duties
Candidate Requirements:
— Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance role within a law firm
— Strong knowledge of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and compliance requirements
— Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
— Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
— Good organisational and communication skills
— Ability to work independently and as part of a team
