Private Client Solicitors

A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their growing team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal services across a broad range of private client matters including Wills, Trusts, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection work. This role suits a detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to client care and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
— Provide legal advice and drafting in relation to Wills, Trusts, Inheritance Tax planning, and capacity issues
— Handle the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney
— Advise on and prepare Trust documentation, including creation and administration
— Manage probate files and assist with deputyship applications
— Conduct initial consultations and triage clients where needed
— Maintain ongoing case management and ensure timely updates
— Participate in team development and strategic growth of the department
— Contribute to business development, networking, and marketing initiatives
— Monitor WIP and ensure effective financial management of client files
— Meet monthly billing and annual fee targets
— Attend internal team meetings and training courses as required
— Ensure all correspondence, documents, and case notes are recorded on the firm’s system (e.g., DPS)
— Adhere to compliance and regulatory standards set by the firm

Requirements:
— Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE (or equivalent legal experience) in Private Client law
— Proven experience managing a varied caseload independently
— Solid understanding of Wills, LPAs, Trusts, Probate, and capacity-related issues
— Confident in client communication and providing sensitive, practical legal advice
— Comfortable using case management systems and legal tech (e.g., DPS)
— Excellent organisation, administration, and time management skills
— A proactive and team-focused mindset
