Private Client Solicitor
Job Description
A well-regarded and growing law firm is seeking a skilled Private Client Solicitor to join its respected — and highly regarded — Private Client department. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a diverse client base — including high-net-worth individuals — on a wide range of estate planning, wealth preservation, and probate matters.
Key Responsibilities:
— Drafting clear and effective wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney
— Advising on inheritance tax, estate planning, and long-term asset protection strategies
— Administering estates from initial instruction through to final distribution
— Assisting with Court of Protection applications and deputyship matters
— Managing relationships with executors, trustees, and beneficiaries with professionalism and care
— Staying up to date with legal, tax, and regulatory developments relevant to private client work
Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3–6 years’ PQE in private client law
— Demonstrable experience across wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration
— Excellent communication and client care skills — especially when dealing with sensitive matters
— Strong drafting, technical, and organisational abilities
— STEP qualification — or working towards it — is preferred but not essential
— Ability to manage a busy, varied caseload independently and efficiently
