Job Description
A well-established and supportive law firm is looking to recruit a Newly Qualified Family Solicitor to join its growing Family Law department. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor to build a long-term career in family law — working on a varied caseload of private family matters under the guidance of experienced specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
— Advising clients on a range of family law matters — including divorce, financial settlements, and child arrangements
— Assisting in the drafting of legal documents — such as consent orders, cohabitation agreements, and pre-nuptial agreements
— Supporting senior solicitors on complex and high-net-worth cases
— Attending client meetings, court hearings, and mediation sessions
— Managing files under supervision — with increasing responsibility over time
— Keeping accurate records and maintaining high standards of client care
— Staying updated on legal developments and changes in family law practice
Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) — recently admitted or qualifying within the next 3 months
— Demonstrable interest and seat experience in family law during training contract
— Strong communication and interpersonal skills — particularly in dealing with sensitive matters
— Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
— Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to develop expertise in family law
— A commitment to delivering excellent service to clients during difficult personal circumstances
