Residential Conveyancer
Job Description
A respected and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its busy property department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fee earner to manage their own caseload — with full support — from instruction to post-completion.
Key Responsibilities:
— Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters — including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, and remortgages
— Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors throughout the transaction
— Carrying out title checks, raising and responding to enquiries, and reviewing contract packs
— Handling exchange and completion procedures, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
— Keeping clients regularly updated and maintaining high service standards
— Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements
Candidate Requirements:
— Minimum 2 years’ experience running residential conveyancing files independently
— Strong knowledge of the full conveyancing process and associated documentation
— Excellent communication and client care skills
— Proficient in using case management systems and digital workflows
— Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
— Detail-oriented and highly organised
