Assistant Cashier
Job Description
A reputable law firm is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Cashier to support the finance team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of client and office financial transactions — assisting the Legal Cashier and maintaining compliance with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
Key Responsibilities:
— Assisting with client and office ledger entries, including payments, receipts, and transfers
— Supporting bank reconciliations and preparation of financial reports
— Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
— Assisting with invoice processing and expense reimbursements
— Liaising with solicitors, clients, and banks as required
— Helping ensure compliance with regulatory and internal financial controls
— Providing general administrative support to the finance department
Candidate Requirements:
— Some experience in accounts or finance — preferably within a legal or professional services environment
— Strong numeracy and attention to detail
— Good organisational and communication skills
— Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
— Ability to work methodically and maintain confidentiality
— Willingness to learn and develop within the finance team
