Private Client Solicitor

A well-regarded and expanding law firm is seeking a highly skilled Private Client Solicitor with 7–10 years PQE to join its respected Private Client department. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a sophisticated and diverse client base — including high-net-worth individuals — on complex estate planning, wills, trusts, and wealth management matters.

Key Responsibilities:
— Drafting complex wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney
— Advising on inheritance tax planning, estate administration, and asset protection strategies
— Managing probate and estate administration from initial instruction to final distribution
— Assisting with Court of Protection applications and deputyship matters
— Building and maintaining strong relationships with executors, trustees, beneficiaries, and other professionals
— Keeping up to date with legal, tax, and regulatory developments relevant to private client work
— Supervising and mentoring junior solicitors and support staff

Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 7–10 years PQE in private client law
— Extensive experience handling complex wills, trusts, probate, and estate administration matters
— Strong technical knowledge of tax and estate planning principles
— Excellent drafting, communication, and client care skills — particularly handling sensitive and confidential matters
— STEP qualification or working towards it is highly desirable
— Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently and efficiently
