Senior Property Lawyer
Job Description
A well-established and growing law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Property Lawyer to join its successful property team. This role offers the opportunity to lead on complex residential and/or commercial transactions — while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the strategic development of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
— Managing a caseload of high-value or complex property matters — including residential sales and purchases, leasehold work, commercial leases, and development projects
— Providing expert legal advice to clients — including individuals, developers, and business owners
— Drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, and supporting documents
— Supervising junior lawyers and support staff — offering training, guidance, and file reviews
— Maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards
— Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
— Supporting departmental strategy and helping to shape operational improvements
Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with 7+ years’ experience in property law
— Proven ability to manage a broad and complex caseload independently
— Strong technical knowledge in residential and/or commercial property
— Excellent drafting, problem-solving, and communication skills
— Previous supervisory or mentoring experience is highly desirable
— Commercially aware, with a proactive and client-focused approach
