Job Description

A well-established law firm is seeking a motivated and organised Conveyancing Assistant to support their busy residential property department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in conveyancing or legal administration who is looking to grow within a supportive legal team.

Key Responsibilities:
— Provide administrative support to conveyancers and fee earners
— Assist in the progression of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, and remortgages
— Draft routine correspondence and prepare standard legal forms
— Conduct searches, ID checks, and file opening/closing procedures
— Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other third parties
— Maintain accurate records and case files
— Support with post-completion tasks such as SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications

Requirements:
— Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal support role preferred
— Good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
— Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
— Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
— Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy legal environment
— Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
