Private Client Paralegal
Job Description
A respected law firm is looking to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Private Client Paralegal to join their busy Wills & Probate team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in private client work to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment.
Overview:
The successful candidate will assist solicitors in managing a caseload of private client matters, including Wills, Probate, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and estate administration.
Key Responsibilities:
— Provide support in the drafting of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and other legal documents
— Assist with the administration of estates, including preparing probate applications
— Liaise with clients, HMRC, financial institutions, and other third parties
— Maintain accurate records and case management systems
— Conduct legal research and gather documentation for case preparation
— Handle general administrative duties and respond to client enquiries
— Support fee earners in progressing files efficiently and in compliance with regulations
Requirements:
— Previous experience as a paralegal, ideally within a private client or similar legal environment
— Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
— Confident communicator with a professional and empathetic approach
— Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload
— Competent in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
— A law degree or legal qualification (e.g., LPC or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential
