Job Description
A highly respected law firm is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Private Wealth Associate to join its established Private Client team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals on a range of complex estate, trust, and tax planning matters.
Overview:
The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice in all areas of private wealth, including wills, trusts, estate administration, tax planning, and succession strategies—often involving international elements.
Key Responsibilities:
— Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees on wealth structuring and succession planning
— Draft and review wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney
— Handle complex estate administration and probate matters
— Collaborate with tax advisers, financial planners, and offshore specialists
— Manage client relationships with a high level of discretion and professionalism
— Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards
— Contribute to business development and departmental growth
Requirements:
— Qualified Solicitor (typically 3+ years PQE) with solid experience in private client or private wealth law
— Strong understanding of UK tax law, estate planning, and trust structures
— Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families
— STEP qualification (or working towards it) is desirable
— Excellent drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills
— Discreet, proactive, and client-focused
