Head of Conveyancing – 6+ Years PQE
Job Description
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Conveyancing to lead its busy property department. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with a strong track record in conveyancing to take on a leadership role and manage a high-performing team within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
— Leading and managing the conveyancing team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery
— Overseeing a diverse caseload of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions
— Developing and implementing best practices and efficient workflows to improve service and compliance
— Building and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring excellent client care standards
— Managing department budgets, targets, and performance metrics
— Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and firm policies
— Collaborating with senior management to contribute to strategic growth and development
Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years PQE specialising in conveyancing
— Proven leadership and team management experience
— In-depth knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures
— Strong communication, negotiation, and client management skills
— Ability to manage complex cases and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
— Proficient in legal case management systems and Microsoft Office
— Strategic thinker with a proactive and organised approach
