Private Client Solicitor
Job Description
A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced and personable Private Client Solicitor to join its highly regarded Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with strong technical skills and a client-focused approach to work on high-quality matters for a diverse client base, including HNWIs, families, and trusts.
Key Responsibilities:
— Advising clients on a wide range of private client matters including wills, estate planning, probate, trusts, and tax
— Drafting wills, trust documents, powers of attorney, and inheritance tax strategies
— Administering complex estates and guiding clients through the probate process
— Providing advice on succession planning, asset protection, and lifetime giving
— Working with financial advisers and other professionals to deliver holistic client solutions
— Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
— Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional obligations
Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 3–6 years PQE in private client law
— Solid experience in wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration
— Strong technical knowledge of inheritance tax and succession law
— Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
— High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters efficiently
— STEP qualification or progress toward STEP (desirable but not essential)
— Professional, discreet, and committed to delivering exceptional client service
