Job Description

A well-established UK law firm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join its busy Residential Property team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and experience in conveyancing support to develop their legal career in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
— Supporting solicitors and fee earners in all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions
— Opening and closing client files, conducting ID and AML checks
— Drafting basic documentation such as contract packs, transfer forms, and completion statements
— Managing telephone and email communication with clients, agents, and third parties
— Carrying out Land Registry and property searches
— Assisting with the exchange and completion process
— Maintaining accurate file records and updating the case management system

Candidate Requirements:
— Previous experience working in a conveyancing or property law department (essential)
— Strong administrative and organisational skills
— Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
— Good communication skills and confident client interaction
— Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
— A proactive team player with a professional and discreet approach
