Residential Conveyancer
Job Description
A well-established UK law firm is seeking an experienced and proactive Residential Conveyancer to join its busy and friendly Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload of conveyancing matters with autonomy and support in a collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
— Managing a full caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to post-completion
— Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and new build transactions
— Conducting title checks, reviewing searches, raising and responding to enquiries, and reporting to clients and lenders
— Drafting and negotiating contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements
— Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors
— Ensuring compliance with regulatory and anti-money laundering requirements
— Maintaining accurate records and keeping clients regularly updated on progress
Candidate Requirements:
— Qualified solicitor, legal executive, or licensed conveyancer (England & Wales)
— Minimum 2+ years’ experience running your own residential conveyancing caseload
— Strong working knowledge of conveyancing procedures, SDLT, and Land Registry processes
— Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
— Proficient in conveyancing case management systems and Microsoft Office
— Strong communication skills with a commitment to delivering excellent client service
— Ability to work independently and as part of a team
